Thursday 10th June - walks ***** - Felixstowe prom – sunny and hot but clouded over at midday for an hour or two.

Walk 1.

Up early and with some snails and slugs to rehome at the end of our road we headed down to the seafront for a walk, always the best time of the day especially as it is going to be another hot one! On the prom around 6.15 and it was fairly busy, loads of joggers, none with a smile, it does make you wonder why they bother! We turned right for a change walking to the end of the prom at The Manor end in wall to wall sunshine with a light breeze all set against a deep blue sky, a nice morning to take a few pics. Again, the only downside was the litter, glass bottles, tins, masks and tissue including toilet rolls, sadly there is no respect for our environment, the world is going to ‘shite’, making matters worse there is nearly always a bin a short distance from the rubbish! Still, we were out for an hour getting a few nice pics before returning home for a cuppa with the kittens in bed, reading and sorting out my pics. As usual I sent pics into the local weather on both Itv’s About Anglia and BBC’s Look East and was pleased when two of my pics were chosen as the Editors choice on the BBC, it remands to be seen if one of them will be used on today’s weather?

Walk 2.

Spent most of the day in our little back garden now an absolute picture with all the flowers blooming, Mag is a top gardener. She put the free mirror up near the shed which helps make the garden a little bigger, the kittens like it too :) I had one eye on the wind as was hoping for a sea breeze for a bit of windsurf foiling and June has been a poor month so far but it clouded over, even looked like rain which killed the wind off! Then after lunch the sun returned so we walked down to the prom again turning left this time but did not far before heading into town to get a few groceries, then home for a cuppa and cake.
Tomorrow afternoon is still looking promising to get on the water so fingers crossed the wind does not let me down!
